The James B. Hunt, Jr. Celebrate Literacy Award recognizes North Carolina local reading councils, organizations, or individuals for service given in promoting literacy among children and adults and in striving to develop reading and writing communities. Local councils, organizations, or individuals are asked to submit nominees to this committee for consideration. Exemplary projects that evidence lasting contributions to community literacy will be reviewed. Please describe your program in detail and include literacy artifacts generated through the project.
